Become a Volunteer
You don't need to be a teacher. You simply need to be able to read and write clearly and follow instructions.

Reading Skills
Ability to read assessment instructions and questions exactly as written.

Writing Skills
Ability to write or type exactly what the student says without correction.

Listening Skills
Ability to listen carefully and follow instructions without interruption.

Professionalism
Respect for confidentiality and a patient, professional attitude.
Our Roles
We connect schools with community volunteers to ensure every student accesses the support they have been approved to receive.
Reader Role
A reader provides access to the words for the student. They read exactly as written, re-read when requested, and read back answers to the student.
Readers do not explain, interpret, or give hints. They simply facilitate the reading process.
Writer Role
A writer provides the physical output for the student. They write exactly what the student says, type exactly what is required, and read back what has been written.
Writers do not improve grammar, correct answers, or suggest solutions. They simply provide the physical output.
